Obesity is defined as abnormal or excessive fat that accumulates in the body, adding risks to health. A person can be considered obese if his/her weight is 20% more than the normal weight or if he/she has a BMI greater than 30. In Kuwait, an estimate of 42-43% of the population suffers from obesity.
